Managing Director

David Cox

Dave formed DJC & Associates Ltd and CITT (Company of International Telecommunications Trainers) to provide the telecommunications community in New Zealand with a stable and practical training provider that is focused on the actual performance needs of the people in this complex industry.

He has served the industry for over 25 years and has wide-ranging experience from specialist technical support to human resource development. David assumes overall responsibility for the operations and strategic direction of the company.

Technical Training Specialists

Chris McKenzie

Chris has over 25 years experience in telecommunications. He is trained on NEAX hardware and has wide knowledge of many telecommunication systems. Chris is responsible for development and delivery technical training.

David Clark

Dave has over 30 years experience in telecommunications. He is trained on cable repair and fault location, alarm transport systems, customer PCM and pair gain systems; local access cable design and has wide and practical knowledge of installation and maintenance of most outside plant (fixed wire) systems. Dave is responsible for development and delivery of technical training. Dave is also a DJC & Associates Ltd company director.

Jack Caswell

Jack has over 38 years experience in telecommunications, starting work with the Post Office in 1971. He stayed with the Post Office (Telecom) until moving to Downer EDI Engineering in 2002. In 2004 he started to get involved with Health and Safety and Protecting The Telecom Network (PTTN) training. Jack discovered his passion, training, and joined the DJC team in September 2009 and is involved in writing and presenting Health and Safety training, NEAX training and supporting the telecommunication apprenticeship programme. Jack is based in Dunedin.

John McCarthy

John joined NZPO in 1963 and has worked in most technology areas since then, from manual board faults and repair to multichannel Coax systems through to radio Microwave, CMARR, Country Sets, Landmobile, cellular and OLD valve carrier systems to modern Fibre systems. He has been a NZQA assessor since 2001.

Rob Wilson

Rob has over 22 years experience in telecommunications. He is trained in a wide range of both circuit switched and IP based telecommunication systems. These include NEC NEAX, Ericsson AXE, Domestic and International Managed Data, IP Telephony and Broadband. Rob is responsible for development and delivery of technical training.

Markus Vendel

Markus has over 16 years experience in telecommunications. He has a wide range of knowledge in the cellular industry working with vendors such as Siemens, Vodacom, Vodafone, T-Mobile Germany and Telecom NZ, which involved operation & maintenance, support specialist, software and feature network deployment, coordinator and project management. Markus is responsible for development and delivery of technical training.

Training Advisor/Apprentice Coordinator

Ron Finch

Ron has over 40 years experience in Outside Plant Technology. Ron has been responsible for the organisation and coordination of large Telecom projects in the rural areas of Canterbury and the Chatham Islands. He brings considerable expertise in Quality Assurance within Telecom NZ and Downer EDI Engineering. Ron has managed the induction, training and settlement of internationally recruited staff as well as the coordination of the Downer EDI Engineering Apprentice Programme for the South Island.

Documentation Specialist

Steve Moss

Steve has over 20 years' experience as a technical writer in a range of companies. He is a long-standing member of the team and has moved from a part time role with the organisation to a much more hands-on role. Steve is Vice President of the Technical Communicators Association of NZ (TCANZ) and works on contract to DJC & Associates Ltd.

Financial & Training Administrator

Mojgan Sotodeh

Mojgan is an essential part of the DJC team. She is responsible for daily company accounting and all training administration, including certificate and training report creation. Mojgan also acts as the PA to the Managing Director.
